Portfolio Manager and a founding partner of VII Capital Management (formerly called Victori Capital). His professional investing career spans nearly two decades and includes senior roles at the Dreyfus Corporation, Dalton Greiner Hartman Maher, Louis Dreyfus Highbridge, and Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn. Adriano Almeida received a B.S. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and an MBA from Columbia University.

He graduated in Economics from the Faculdade de Economia e Administração at Universidade de São Paulo, USP.
Michael Howell

Michael Howell is CEO of CrossBorder Capital, a London-based FCA registered, independent research and investment company that he founded in 1996. The firm provides asset allocation and capital markets advice to institutional investors, and manages US$ 1 billion of assets. Michael is involved with educational charities and currently advises a major educational foundation on its investment strategy. He has also advised the World Bank on capital flows, co-authoring their publication Opportunities in Emerging Markets (World Bank, 1995), served as board director of a listed Japanese investment trust and recently authored the book Capital Wars (Macmillan, 2020). Previously he was Head of Research for Baring Securities and board member, where he focussed on Emerging Markets, and Research Director of Salomon Brothers. Before entering finance, Michael worked as Group Economist for Blue Circle Industries. He holds a Phd. in Financial Economics from London University, specialising in Fixed Income, and is a SEC-qualified US Supervisory Analyst.
Rafael Cota Maciel

Portfolio manager with Inter Asset, in charge of strategy and management of its equity funds. Rafael Cota Maciel has 20 years of professional experience, 14 of them in financial markets. From 2015 t0 2020, he was portfolio manager with AF Invest (Araújo Fontes), in charge of strategy and management of its equity funds (including exposure to US equities, via BDRs). From 2011 to 2015, he worked at Impacto Investimentos, where he was co-responsible for equity fund management (including exposure to US equities, via BDRs). He was President of APIMEC-MG (2019/2020 and 2021/2022). Rafael Cota Maciel graduated in Communications (Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising) from UNI-BH, has an MBA in Finance from IBMEC-MG and a postgraduate degree in Capital Markets and Derivatives from PUC-MG. Between 2012 and 2017, he taught Capital Markets, with an emphasis in Value Investing, at Centro Universitário UNA.

Vitor Senra é um dos sócio-fundadores da Brio Investimentos e membro de seus Comitês de Investimento. Em 2010, juntamente com Rodolfo Senra, trouxe para o Brasil a Starwood Capital Group (gestora americana que administrava aproximadamente US$ 20 bilhões em ativos imobiliários), criando a joint venture Starwood Capital do Brasil, que, entre outros investimentos, foi responsável pelo aporte de US$ 150 milhões na MRV Log Commercial Properties (atualmente Log Commercial Properties). Foi gestor da GTIS Partners, empresa norte-americana de gestão de fundos de real estate private equity, e trabalhou no Banco Santander como banker do setor de imobiliário. É graduado em Engenharia Civil pela Universidade Mackenzie e possui MBA pela Columbia Business School.

Lecture: “Tupy: The Perfect Combustion of Quality and Value Investing”
Founding partner — with Frederico Mesnik — and Chief Investor Officer of Trigono Capital, an investment manager focusing on Brazilian small caps: companies with a market value below R$ 10 billion. An authority in the Brazilian small-cap market, Werner Roger was responsible for this strategy (reaching almost one billion dollars in AUM) at Victoire Brasil Investimentos, investment management firm of which he was a founding partner. His career includes 26 years in asset management (nine of them with Victoire), four years in sell-side research, and a total of 39 years in financial markets (encompassing his experience in credit, M&A, proprietary equity, and structured transactions), with professional roles in leading global organizations such as Chase Manhattan Bank, Citibank, and Western Asset Management (Legg Mason). Werner Roger graduated in Agronomic Engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp) and holds the Gestor CVM, PDC Fundação Dom Cabral, ANBIMA’s CPA-20, and ANBIMA’s CGA certifications.
