Adriano Almeida
VII Capital Management (Stamford, Connecticut)
Lecture: “Patterns of Success in Investing”
Portfolio Manager and a founding partner of VII Capital Management (formerly called Victori Capital). His professional investing career spans nearly two decades and includes senior roles at the Dreyfus Corporation, Dalton Greiner Hartman Maher, Louis Dreyfus Highbridge, and Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn. Adriano Almeida received a B.S. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and an MBA from Columbia University.
Bruno Rignel
AlphaKey Capital Management (Sao Paulo)
Panel: “Investment Picks”
Bruno Rignel is AlphaKey’s portfolio manager since its founding in 2018. Previously, he was a partner and investment management team member with VELT Partners (former M Square Brasil) and an equities trader with the brokerage of Credit Suisse. He graduated in Naval Engineering from Poli-USP and holds the CGA (ANBIMA) certification.
Christian Bojlesen
Bojlesen Capital (Sao Paulo)

Analyst and portfolio manager of the Bojlesen FIA — whose strategy, since 2008 (initially as the Clube de Investimentos Bojlesen), focuses on fundamental analysis, value investing and small caps — which he founded in 2008. Christian Bojlesen graduated in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance from Colorado State University and holds the CGA (ANBIMA) and CNPI (Apimec) certifications.
Edward T. Calkins
RGM Capital (Naples, Florida)

Edward T. Calkins is a Partner at RGM Capital, LLC involved in investment research, portfolio management, and business operations. Prior to joining RGM Capital, LLC in January 2004, from 1994 to 2003 he was employed at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he spent his entire career in the firm’s equities division, predominantly focused on international equities in several different roles. As an Associate, Mr. Calkins worked in New York City and Hong Kong in institutional equity sales and trading. He was promoted to Vice President in 1998 and moved to Goldman’s London office in 2000 to join the European equity capital markets group where he advised U.K. corporates on raising equity in the public markets. In 2002 he returned to New York City to head Goldman Sachs U.S. corporate marketing effort. Mr. Calkins received his MBA from Cornell University in 1994 and his BA in History from Princeton University in 1992.
John Hempton
Bronte Capital (Sydney, Australia)

John Hempton has been a financial markets professional since 1999 and is Chief Investment Officer and co-owner at Bronte Capital, which que founded in 2009. He was Head of Financials and the youngest partner at Platinum Asset Management, which listed in 2007. John believes that sitting in Australia, out of time-zone with most of his firm’s larger Long/Short competitors, and avoiding broker research, enables Bronte to have a fresh and unique view of companies.
José Rocha
Dahlia Capital (Sao Paulo)
Lecture: “The Fourth Turning”
Founding partner and CIO with Dahlia Capital, which he founded in early 2018 with five partners. José Rocha’s 20-year careeer in financial markets features positions in equity-focused independent investment managers. He was a founding-partner and co-manager with Apex Capital (between 2011 and 2017). Formerly, he was a co-manager and the operator of the equity strategies of Quest Investimentos (between 2008 and 2011) and the fixed-income proprietary-desk operator with CSFB Garantia (between 2002 and 2008). Marcello Silva is a founding partner with Aster Capital. He has two decades of experience as an investor and worked at Constellation Asset Management from 2006 to 2021. Marcello Silva graduated in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
Marcus Fadul

Founding partner and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) with Acuto Capital, an independent investment management firm founded in 2023. Marcus Fadul has more than 15 years of experience in financial markets, marked by portfolio management in Brazil and overseas, strong analytical discipline, and focus on long-term alpha generation. During his 10 years with M.Safra & Co (2013–2023), he worked as portfolio manager of Brazilian equities, leading analysts teams and consolidating a long-only strategy that had strong and consistent returns. Between 2011 and 2013, he worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, in Sao Paulo, as Vice President and sell-side analyst of Latin American financial institutions. Formerly, he was an analyst with RB Capital (2010–2011), working in Research and Project Finance. He started his career in the United States, at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network (2007–2008) and Wells Fargo Advisors (2009–2010) when he worked with offshore-fund analysis and portfolio allocation and developed relationships with independent investment managers. He is a CFA Charterholder and graduated in Business Administration, with a focus in Finance, from Saint Louis University - John Cook School of Business.
Michael Howell
CrossBorder Capital (London)

Michael Howell is CEO of CrossBorder Capital, a London-based FCA registered, independent research and investment company that he founded in 1996. The firm provides asset allocation and capital markets advice to institutional investors, and manages US$ 1 billion of assets. Michael is involved with educational charities and currently advises a major educational foundation on its investment strategy. He has also advised the World Bank on capital flows, co-authoring their publication Opportunities in Emerging Markets (World Bank, 1995), served as board director of a listed Japanese investment trust and recently authored the book Capital Wars (Macmillan, 2020). Previously he was Head of Research for Baring Securities and board member, where he focussed on Emerging Markets, and Research Director of Salomon Brothers. Before entering finance, Michael worked as Group Economist for Blue Circle Industries. He holds a Phd. in Financial Economics from London University, specialising in Fixed Income, and is a SEC-qualified US Supervisory Analyst.
Raphael Maia

Lecture: “Small-Cap Investing in Brazil”
Founding partner and Director of Investments with Organon Capital. Formerly, Raphael Maia became an Associate Partner with BTG Pactual Asset Management, where he worked from 2011 to 2020. He started his career as equity analyst at Fator Administração de Recursos and, following that, worked as private and public equities analyst at Tarpon Investimentos. He graduated in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-EAESP) and is licensed as portfolio manager by CVM (ICVM 558).
Ruy Alves
Kinea (Rio de Janeiro)
Lecture: “The AI Effect: Geopolitical Shocks and the New Economic Order”
Partner and co-portfolio manager of the multimercados funds at Kinea Investimentos since February of 2020, responsible for its equities and commodities strategies. Ruy Alves has more than two decades of experience in financial markets and has previously worked as a global equities portfolio manager at ADAM Capital, JGP and, in London, at Aviva Investors. He graduated in Business Administration from UERJ, holds a master’s degree in Finance from London Business School, an MBA in Finance from IBMEC and has taught Finance at IBMEC-RJ.
Tyler Boone

Tyler Boone, CFA is the Director of Research at RGM Capital, LLC. Prior to joining RGM Capital in November 2016, Mr. Boone was an Associate at American Capital, a private equity firm, and an Investment Banking Associate at Stephens Inc. He earned his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2016 and his BBA and Masters in Accounting from Southern Methodist University in 2006 and 2007 respectively.
Vitor Senra
Brio Investimentos (Sao Paulo)
Lecture: “FIIs: Opportunities and Challenges in a Scenario of Restricted Bank Credit”
Founding partner and Member of the Investment Committee at Brio Investimentos. In 2010, along with Rodolfo Senra, Vitor Senra brought to Brazil Starwood Capital Group (an American investment manager with approximately $20 billion in real-estate assets in AUM) through the joint venture Starwood Capital do Brasil, which among other investments was responsible for allocating $150 million at MRV Log Commercial Properties (present day’s Log Commercial Properties). He has been a portfolio manager with GTIS Partners, an American real-estate private equity investment manager, and has worked as a real-estate banker at Banco Santander. Vitor Senra graduated in Civil Engineering from Universidade Mackenzie and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
